Digital dentistry is a term that has been used and abused lately on many platforms. There is no doubt that this new concept has helped dentists and lab technicians in overcoming daily struggles and has added to their daily workflow a positive energy, and new modern tools to execute their cases successfully.

The course will demonstrate all the different aspects of the digital era and how we can use these new concepts successfully.

Aims

• This course will highlight all the different aspects of the digital part and show how can we implement that into the daily flow. Also, highlighting the beautiful synergy between the digital and the analog while implementing all the analog concepts and tools that we have been using for years and are proven to be successful.

Objectives

• Highlight the different softwares for designing and all the pros and cons.
• Discuss material selection in our daily workflow and how we can choose materials for different clinical scenarios.
• How to align faces with models in the 3D world
• How to use scanners and the difference between scanning and impression making
• How to use the design and implement it into the execution phase of which ceramics are milled.
• What are the greatest advantages of the DIGITAL tools in our daily flow.

Anas Aloum

Dr. Anas Aloum is a consultant Prosthodontist and Oral Rehabilitation Specialist. He is the chief dental director and head laboratory director for Hikma Medical Center in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Dr. Anas Aloum received his degree in Advanced Prosthodontics and a Preceptorship in Periodontology and Implantology at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry, University of Southern California. He’s been a certified member of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontics since 2011.

His passion for dental education has led him to be actively involved in hosting and lecturing CME’s in the field of Prosthodontics, Esthetics & Implantology internationally.
