Speakers

Francine Fletcher

Francine graduated with honors from Sheffield University in 2011.

Since then, Francine has excelled in both hospital and general dental practice settings. Her experience includes multiple hospital posts in paediatric dentistry and working as a specialty doctor in the same field. Francine’s research has been presented at national and international dental conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. She has also conducted hands-on training for dentists, enhancing their skills in paediatric dentistry.

Since 2012, Francine has focused on general practice, providing NHS and private dentistry. She actively pursues professional development, completing courses in restorative dentistry, such as the yearlong Advanced Operative and Restorative Dentistry Course by Aspire Dental Academy. Additionally, Francine has received Invisalign Go training to complement her expertise in cosmetic dentistry. She is a member of Gloucester Independent Dentists.

Francine takes great pleasure in witnessing the improved confidence of her patients. In 2018, she underwent training in facial aesthetics, which has become a particular passion.

Christine Anne MacLeavy

Christine qualified as a dental nurse many years ago with the WRNS and then went on to train as a dental therapist at New Cross Hospital, London. In 2003 she achieved a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Post Compulsory Education) and became a member of the Higher Education Academy. A Post Graduate Diploma in Hypnosis Applied to Dentistry at University College London, followed in 2006. Christine also became extremely interested in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and studied to Master Practitioner Level with The International NLP Trainers Association (INLPTA), and later qualified as a Trainer of NLP. Her dental career to date has involved working in the Community Dental Service, General Dental Practice, Private Practice and the paediatric department of the Eastman Dental Hospital in London.

Since 1998 Christine has tutored and lectured part-time on the dental hygiene and dental therapy courses at the Eastman lectured on Communication skills for the BSc in Primary Dental Care at Kent University, and the foundation degree in Dental Nursing at Barnfield College, Bedford. She has been delivering extended duties courses for dental nurses since 2010 on behalf of Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust, Leicester City PCT, the London Deanery, and Croydon PCT. ChristineMacleavyCoaching was set up to provide quality CPD courses for all dental professionals, as she has always been passionate about dentistry, and teaching.

Christine has also had many articles published in journals such as Dental Nursing, Dental Health, Vital, Dentaltown UK and SAAD Digest. She has also been invited to speak at the International Society of Dental Anxiety Management (ISDAM), The BDA Conference, BADT, BUPA, BSDHT and many more.
