Social Media, GDPR & Consent
This interactive morning session explores the increasingly important role dental nurses can play in their practice’s digital presence, while ensuring that social media, photography and patient information are handled professionally, ethically and appropriately.
Part One – Social Media in Dental Practice with Kat, SharpFox Social
Kat will deliver a practical and engaging session designed to give dental nurses the confidence to contribute to their practice’s social media without getting bogged down in marketing theory.
The session will explore creating engaging and educational content, smartphone photography and video, Reels and short-form video, behind-the-scenes and team content, and practical ideas that dental nurses can realistically put into action within their practice.
Part Two – Legal & Ethical Considerations: GDPR and Consent with Alison
The second part of the morning will focus on the legal and ethical responsibilities surrounding digital communication within dentistry.
Alison will cover key considerations around GDPR, patient confidentiality, photography and video, obtaining and documenting valid consent, the appropriate use of patient images and information, and the professional responsibilities dental teams need to consider when using social media.
Together, the two sessions will give dental nurses both the practical skills to create effective digital content and an understanding of the legal and ethical boundaries needed to do so safely and professionally.
An informative and highly relevant morning for dental nurses working in today’s increasingly digital dental environment.
