Aims
- Recognise current guidelines and requirements (HTM01-05)
- Health and Social care approved code of practice
- Understand relevant infection control policies , processes, protocols and audits that are required
- Refresh individuals knowledge of infection prevention and control
Objectives
- Understand what an infection is, what an infectious organisms
- Routes of transmission
- Understand the chain of infection and how the use of standard precautions helps to break the chain of infection
- How to apply standard precautions to your work environment
- We will also do some practical tasks
- Understand the updates to waste management
- How we can become more environmental friendly by 2030

Having been in the world of dentistry for over 30 years, working my way up from a trainee nurse at the age of 16 to operations Mananger, working in general Practice throughout the pandemic, I know from experince what practices face on a daily basis.
